Can You Really "Cash In" By Targeting The Right Keywords? Absolutely!

It's the hottest thing in Internet marketing right now...

You locate keywords that thousands of viewers happen to be searching for and then you create a web page or "mini site" to attract them. Sounds easy enough, but the truth is, it takes a great deal of time and effort to come up with the "right" keywords.

You see, knowing that thousands (or even tens of thousands) of viewers are already searching for a particular keyword isn't enough. You also need a specific product to sell, one that's either directly or indirectly related to that keyword. After all, you can't really "cash in" if there's nothing for viewers to purchase once they get to your web page or mini site.

Of course, you also need to 1) develop quality content for your web page or mini site, and 2) optimize that content with the keyword you're targeting. If you don't, the almighty search engine spiders won't list you anywhere near the top of their search results. Why is that critical?

If you're using any form of pay-per-click advertising like Overture or Google Adwords campaigns, it isn't. You'll simply be "buying" your way into the best possible positions.

On the other hand, if you're NOT using any form of pay-per-click, you'll have to manually acquire top search engine listings. And that's where quality web page content and keyword optimization come into play.

So how do you begin establishing which keywords are "right" and which ones aren't?

You need to start with a particular niche market. What I'm talking about here is a somewhat generic, yet focused topic. For example: bird, golf, Internet, health, exercise, diet, garden, racing, boat, horse, music, painting. Basically, the goal is to start with a highly targeted topic of interest that can also be associated with a specific group of buyers and/or viewers.

Next, you need to locate keywords in that area of interest that are already being searched for by thousands of viewers. Once you've accomplished that, isolate any and all individual keywords that have little or no existing competition.

After you get to that point, you can concentrate on finding an appropriate product to sell and then developing an associated web page or mini site. If all goes well (and you've seen to it that viewers will experience a quality and valuable visit), you should have the following system in place...

A viewer conducts a search using the keyword you've chosen. They see your web page listing in the top results and click on over. While reading the valuable content you've provided, they notice there's also a terrific product for sale (naturally, it happens to be one that's related to their topic of interest). They purchase that product.

Now. Multiply that same scenario times hundreds of viewers each and every month and you've got yourself a pretty solid income generator. Granted, not every viewer will actually make a purchase, but remember... you've chosen a keyword that automatically draws countless viewers every month. So the odds of making a fair amount of sales are definitely in your favor.

Also, the previous scenario is based on the assumption that you've only established one keyword-based system. Think of what the financial results would be if you created dozens of these targeted mini sites. ;-)

Of course, now the question is, how exactly do you accomplish your initial keyword selections?

I'll be honest with you. It's not the easiest task. And more than likely, plenty of hours will be spent on research alone. But the good news is, there are programs that will help you sort through the keyword jungle.

For example, you can purchase Wordtracker software or simply use the free Overture search term suggestion tool. Either one will help minimize your quest for profit-generating keywords.

However...

There's an even better choice called Ad Word Analyzer. Not only can you perform multiple keyword searches, you'll know at a glance how many Google AdWords and Overture campaigns currently exist. Plus, the program has a built-in "results to search" ratio feature that lets you immediately determine supply and demand for any given keyword.

But even if you're not involved in these pay-per-click ad campaigns, Ad Word Analyzer can save you a great deal of time and effort (I know because I personally fall into this category and wouldn't even consider conducting my keyword research without it).

First, Ad Word Analyzer allows you to conduct multiple searches simultaneously. And second, it lets you see right away how much competition for each keyword already exists.

The point is, conducting keyword research can take a considerable bite out of whatever time you have available. Anything and everything you can do to lessen that load is an obvious and valuable asset.

But here's the deal...

Whether you purchase software to conduct research or not, you can easily and effectively generate substantial income just by targeting the right keywords. The only important aspect is this...

The sooner you start this process, the sooner you'll be cashing in on keywords!
