Success Formula 1 - Develop A Sales Force

If the Internet business you've chosen is based on your own product or service, there's one guaranteed method of financial success. Establish your own affiliate network.

But not in the usual sense. Instead of simply adding this feature as a means of increasing sales, you actually make the affiliate network itself your primary business.

Aside from developing your website and performing general webmaster tasks, your entire focus should be directed toward either gaining new affiliates or offering assistance to those you already have.

Basically, every available moment and ounce of effort is invested in building and maintaining your affiliate network. If you think it's an unrealistic endeavor, consider how it's done in the "real world".

Every major (and highly successful) business has one thing in common. They all have sales people and/or other companies selling their products or services. Think about it...

Could Bill Gates haven gotten to his level of success by creating a product and then merely selling it through his own efforts? One of the reasons Microsoft is currently a billion-dollar industry is because there are so many other businesses and individuals advertising, promoting, and selling each and every product that's developed.

As far as the Internet goes, you've got successful marketers like Marlon Sanders who initially based their entire online business operation on having other people sell their products for them.

And while some of those same marketers might have eventually expanded to other areas, it's important to realize that their original success was in fact based on developing a private and substantial affiliate network.

Naturally, the most important ingredient in this particular formula is quality. Having an online sales force of thousands (or even tens of thousands) doesn't do much good if they're dealing with an inferior product or service.

The second most important ingredient is the quality of support and assistance you give to your affiliates. And not just in the beginning when they first sign up. Like any other business endeavor, this is an ongoing task.

But here's the ultimate reward. Once you've established a solid network of affiliates, they do all the marketing and promotion. Your job is to simply maintain and expand the affiliate network.

Of course, not all of the affiliates you receive will be highly productive. That's why you need to spend a good deal of time (at least initially) gaining the highest number of affiliates possible.

And since your time and effort won't be monopolized by anything other than building and maintaining an affiliate network, that won't be a difficult task.

Then, once you have a large number of affiliates, you concentrate on the ones who are most productive. Offer them additional incentive such as larger sales commissions, supply them with custom sales copy and specialized promotion tools, and so forth.

Remember... the affiliate network itself is your primary Internet business. Invest your time and effort in that area alone and you're guaranteed financial success.
