Ebook Ideas

You've decided to write an ebook. Like most people who come online hoping to cash in, you're confident that having your own product is the way to go.
It's a great decision, one that can pay dividends well into the future. Especially if you choose the topic of your ebook wisely. But therein lies the problem...
You don't have a clue what to write about.
You need ebook ideas. But even before that, you need to determine what niche market you'll be targeting. In other words, you have to decide which viewers you're hoping to reach.
Do you want to be part of Internet marketing? It's certainly one of the most popular areas of interest. Or would it be more plausible for you to work with some other area of interest?
Sports? Animals? Health care? Weight loss?
The truth is, it doesn't really matter. Whatever area of interest you feel is calling out to you, ebook ideas should follow one train of thought...
What do people in that area of interest want or need to know about?
In order to answer that question, you simply need to conduct searches using the Google AdWords keyword tool. Let's say, for example, the niche market you've chosen is weight loss. If you conduct a search using the words "weight loss", the results will list things like...
- weight loss motivation
- weight loss drugs
- quick weight loss diets
- weight loss exercise
- weight loss for women
- healthy recipes for weight loss
- safe weight loss
The search results goes on and on, revealing numerous viewer concerns and general inquiries.
And since so many people are searching for information in those specific areas, it means there's a valid and viable market to be filled. Therefore, all of these types of results would qualify as good solid ebook ideas.
That's not to say one idea isn't better than another. If I personally had to choose from the list above, I would pick "healthy recipes for weight loss" and "weight loss for women" over the other choices. Why? Because each of those is associated with very specific and targeted viewers.
On the other hand, "safe weight loss" and "weight loss motivation" speaks to the emotional side of viewers. And that can be even more powerful than a highly targeted group of individuals.
Additionally, you want to make certain that whatever topic you choose can be easily researched. If you can't compile enough information about the topic to develop a quality ebook, there's no sense even going that direction.
So conducting searches provides you with plenty of ebook ideas, but you still need to establish that an idea can be transformed into an informative publication.
Of course, if your search indicates that few people are even searching in any given niche, try a different area of interest. There are limitless niches. For any one that comes up short, there are dozens or even hundreds of others that will offer the kind of results you're looking for.
Be forewarned, though. Conducting searches can lead to so many good ideas, you might have trouble deciding which one to work with. But that's still a much better predicament than not having any ebook ideas at all.
Yet another interesting by-product is the fact that search results might very well uncover an even better niche than the one you originally planned to work with. Keep in mind...
It's all about numbers. If enough people are searching for a particular phrase such as "healthy recipes for weight loss", it automatically qualifies as an area of interest that warrants having additional information published. And, if there are a good number of equally solid phrases in that same area of interest, you've basically struck ebook ideas gold.
Supply and demand. Find out what the demand is and then provide it. And you do that by taking any niche and conducting keyword searches. The results will not only tell you what people are looking for, it hands you the exact ebook ideas you need on a silver platter.
More importantly, you'll have an endless supply of ebook ideas, ones that are most likely to equate to profitable results. And that's the reward all ebook ideas should ultimately deliver.
