Ebooks
Ebooks are digital files that can be placed/saved on your computer (just like any other file). To open/access an ebook, you simply double-click the name. Ebooks that are based on EXE format are stand-alone files that open separately (cannot be viewed by MAC users). Ebooks that are PDF format can be viewed by both PC and MAC users. They open in a standard browser window using the Adobe Reader. (Most computers come equipped with Adobe Reader. Or, you can download it for free at Adobe.com.)
Ebooks Won't Display Properly
If you have difficulty getting ebooks to display properly or experience "page cannot be displayed" errors (especially after installing XP Service Pack 2) you can use the following utility:
Fix My Ebooks for ebooks created with almost any ebook compiler software
Zip Files
Some ebooks come "zipped" with other files (for example, branding software, 3D cover image, instructions). To open a ZIP file, you'll need a program such as Winzip
